The agents with Karpinski & Associates, Inc. are all independent agents. This means that we do not work for any one insurance company. We provide coverage options with many different insurance companies. This allows us to offer our clients the right insurance plan to meet each client’s individual needs.

Jed was born and raised in Mount Carmel, PA, and graduated from Mount Carmel Area High School in 1979. He then attended Rutgers University where he played varsity football for four years, and earned a degree in Economics in 1983.
Jed began his insurance career in 1983 with Bankers Life and Casualty, where he soon became one of the company’s top selling agents. He left Bankers in 1992 to open his own agency, Karpinski & Associates, Inc., specializing in Medicare products.
Along with managing his own successful firm, Jed was elected Manheim Township Commissioner in 1996 and held that office until 2000. Jed joined Ritter Insurance Marketing in 2005 on a part-time basis. In 2012, he was asked to head up their newly formed Life & Annuity Division. Jed served Ritter in that capacity until 2019. He now devotes 100% of his time and energy to Karpinski & Associates, Inc., serving clients throughout central Pennsylvania.
Jed married his wife, Tammy in 1985 and together they raised two sets of twin boys. Kody and Kyle, and Troy and Tyler. Tammy, a graduate of Wilkes University and a registered nurse, currently teaches at Brownstown Career and Technology Center in Ephrata, PA. Jed and his wife reside in Lancaster, PA, and enjoy spending time with family and being active members of their local community.

Joining the firm in October, 2016, Sherry added over thirty years' experience to our team. Though new to Karpinski & Associates at that time, she brought with her a varied background which includes insurance, financial planning, and healthcare administration.
Born and raised in Lancaster County, Sherry began her career in the industry in 1983 and earned her insurance licenses in 1985. Sherry essentially "grew up" in the business, working part time through high school and college for two local agencies. Graduating with a degree in business administration from Central Penn College in 1985, she joined the industry full-time. After spending more than twenty years growing her family's insurance agency, Sherry branched out to work with both MetLife and United Planners' Financial Services.
Sherry and her family live in Strasburg, PA, and enjoy playing an active role in the community. Her greatest passion is family, and Sherry can typically be found along the sidelines at baseball and basketball games cheering on her son and his teammates. She is also an active volunteer with several non-profit organizations that serve those navigating Alzheimer's, dementia, and hospice care.
